Hello, my name is Laasya Chintapalli and I'm honored to be part of this year's Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign. Beginning Friday, January 31st, 2025, Team Thrive will launch our 7-week fundraising campaign. However, our commitment starts today! Our team name is built on the term "thriver", which holds a special meaning for cancer patients. To be a thriver means to not only survive but to adopt an empowered approach to living fully, achieving your personal best, and embracing each day with resilience and positivity, despite the challenges of cancer. • Funding cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics, and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Providing free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizing thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
